She is a Professor in the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Colorado. She has lectured widely at institutions such as UCLA, USC, Columbia University, the Kansas City Art Institute, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, the University of Minnesota, Alfred University, and many others.
